Shredding for the Wedding: Take 2

Shredding for the Wedding: Take 2

So I just re-read my last post and found it all quite amusing. I did NONE of what I said I was going to do. In fact, I think I ate out even more. Also, that posts starts off saying that I am usually only successful if I make drastic changes and that would be correct. Little adjustments here and there just do not work for me. I also said that for anything to work, I gotta wanna. Well peeps, I finally wanna!

Over Thanksgiving, John, Drake and I went to Costa Rica for a week. You would have thought the idea of being in a bathing suit should have motivated me to do something but it didn’t. BUT… getting back from said vacation and seeing myself in pictures was enough for me to realize, now is the time! Plus, there is that whole wedding dress thing I am supposed to be prepping for!

We had a wonderful time seeing different parts of the country, playing in the waves and the resort pool, taking Drake snorkeling for the first time, and squeezed in a family photo shoot in the rain.

Ok, back to business… so my first dress fitting is in March and I need to be as close as possible to my goal in March because that is when they can make the biggest alterations. After that I really only have one more time to make some minor adjustments. So now begins the Wedding Dress Slimdown of 2019… I have seen a few friends on Facebook post about doing the Arbonne 30 Day Living Healthy Challenge and thought, well that is one plan I have yet to try… so I started a week ago and I am already down 6 lbs! The challenge will take me right to Christmas and then my plan is to be smart between Xmas and NY and then start it again. I think this time it’s really going to work for me because I have a secret weapon… JOHN! He is the chef in the relationship [duh] so he has graciously agreed to cook all my dinner meals (he eats them too!) and then I have a shake for breakfast and lunch. It’s pretty awesome! Already I am feeling super excited about it and I feel better in my gut or as Drake would say, in my guts. I have had the worst heartburn and stomach ulcers for 20 years and I have hardly had any issues with it for a week now. AMAZING!

For exercise I started the Body Boss at-home workout program. I had to start with the two week pre-training and even that kicks my butt! The workouts are HIT circuits MWF and then active rest days Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and rest on Sunday. So far I am 4/4 on the workouts! I am telling you people, I am doing this! I will be posting updates about my success [the power of positive thinking] between now and March! Stay tuned…
